area when the Whitter Quake hit less that 13 miles from
my location. I was parked on the outside edge of the
parking lot, facing towards a lumber/hardware supply store.
At first I thought a car had bumped into me. Then quickly
realized it was an earthquake! Taking a look around to see
if anything could fall on my vehicle and seeing that I was
safe from any falling objects. Then the people started running
out the front door of that lumber store screaming to high
heaven. The simple fact, panic did not help one of those
screaming souls, no one was hurt, the building didn't fall.
But the power went out every where in the whole city.
No signal lights, meant every car had to stop at every
intersection where a signal light should be working.
Point is,
No body, is going anywhere fast after a disaster strikes.

So being prepared for what could and may just happen,
is up to you as an individual.

Living Off the Grid!

As many of you may have gone through the Ice storms of 2008/2009.
Which is just the most resent storm to turn the electric power off
to over 2 million people across several states at the same time.
As 1.5 million were without power for 2 to 3 weeks, some even longer.

The point here is that people seem to forget all about the storm after
it passes.
Except for those that lost family members because of the storm.
Then if you were one of those that had to huddle in the dark, cold,
interior of your home for weeks on end, I would bet you still have a
clear picture of what it was like.

A couple of things people don't think about until it is to late.
When the power goes off the water stops also!
So take some time and store away water for an emergency!
If you do not have water you will die!

Please just think about the ice storm as one warning of what
could happen, high winds blow down power line all the time.

The sad part about all of this is it happens over and over again
and people are put into bad situations because of it.
Are you prepared for just this type of thing if it did happen to you.

Be aware that the power grids across America and many other
countries fail all the time. To be totally reliant on an outside
source of energy is foolish, when there are so many alternative
forms of energy available to those that will seek them.

Solar lighting is the simplest form available, at lest with solar
energy you will have lights.
Windmill energy is the next best thing on the market, with
many designs available for DIY, or to purchasing a completed
system for your home.

Here is one practical DIY design that is simple and easy for
most any home owner to build cheap, less than a couple of
hundred dollars you can have a complete home energy system
in place, making all the power you need..

Chicken Ranch

I met this fellow a few years back, his name is Tony C.
Tony told me about himself and his wife of many years,
over a couple of days, while visiting the north east.

The main topic of discussion was his father.
His father was a Chicken rancher, aka, farmer?

His father started to raise chickens and sold his
chickens on a contract to a large chicken processor.
( I won't say the name of the processor)
Now when Tony's father started this chicken ranch
there was a program involved with the contract buyer,
in which part of every check he received, a set
amount, or percentage could be set aside in a savings plan.
So Tony's father did set aside a small amount from
every check.
Kind of like out of sight out of mind?

Now after many years of raising chickens, I can not say
how many years for sure. But I would guess 20, 30, maybe
even more years.
As his age was catching up with him and he was not able to
keep up with the demands of operating the chicken ranch.

He sold off his supply of chickens and closed up the chicken
houses for good and closed out all his dealings with the contract
buyer of many years.

Now aged and tired, he stayed home, maybe went fishing
once in awhile, just doing things that retired life would allow
him. He had no money to speak of, as chicken ranches won't
make you rich, so to speak.
One day about 2 to 3 months after retiring, a letter came
in the mail. It was a letter of questions, the main question
was what do you want to do with your savings plan with the
contract buyer?
Now it seems that all those years of having a small amount
put aside in the savings plan had completely slipped his mind.

So he told the contract buyer to just mail him a check, well a
few days later a check showed up in the mail for the sum of...
One million four hundred thousand dollars!!
This is a true story, which can work out the same for any body.

Take and hide away a few dollars every week, which adds into
years, which will add up to ??? Out of sight out of mind!

Trapped Monkey?
This is a trap designed by Native Tribes, no one knows the origin of the design.
But Monkey Traps are used World wide, in one form or another.
To use the original design of the Trap, a person would take a coconut,
cleaning the inside out leaving a hole only large enough for a monkey to
stick it's hand through.
With a smaller hole on the opposite side of the coconut,
a cord of twine would be attached so that the coconut may be secured to the ground, or to the person using the Trap.

The Trap works by placing a few peanuts inside the coconut,
when the Monkey sticks it's hand through the hole and grasp the peanuts.
The monkey can not pull it's hand out of the hole,
as the monkey will not let go of the peanuts, to save it's own life.
The owner of the Trap can now do "what ever" with the Trapped Monkey.

Now take a moment and think about this trap!

As stated the owner or designer of the Trap can and will do just about anything
they want to do with the trapped:
Welfare? Credit Cards? Fuel Cost? Insurance? Building Regulations? Land Use Laws?
Water Rights? Mineral Rights? Travel Restrictions? Gun Laws?

of Frank Phillips. Frank Phillips, along with his
brother Lee Eldas (L.E.) Phillips, Sr., founded the
original Phillips Petroleum Company in 1917
in Bartlesville, OK.
Do you remember Phillips 66 gas stations?

Phillips Petroleum Company merged with Conoco, Inc.
in 2002 to form the current ConocoPhillips oil company.

So, when Bill talks about oil and gas issues,
I tend to listen - very closely.
I think that you will find Bill's thoughts and facts
very revealing, very compelling and very difficult
to argue with.

As you prepare to cast your crucial ballots this Fall,
please think long and hard about the far-reaching,
cumulative effects of the US political philosophies,
policies and legislation that have contributed
to the current and future US oil supply situation.

May 28, 2008, "Big Oil"

Did you know that the United States does NOT have
any big oil companies.
It's true: the largest American oil company,
Exxon Mobil, is only the 14th largest in the world,
and is dwarfed by the really big oil companies--
all owned by foreign governments or government-sponsored
monopolies--that dominate the world's oil supply.

This graph below tells the story;
you can barely see the American oil companies as
minor players on the right side of the chart in gray.
The chart was presented to the House committee last
week by Chevron.

With 94% of the world's oil supply locked up by
foreign governments, most of which are hostile to the
United States, the relatively puny American oil
companies do not have access to enough crude oil to
significantly affect the market and help bring
prices down.

Thus, ExxonMobil, a "small" oil company,
buys 90% of the crude oil that it refines for the U.S.
market from the big players, i.e, mostly-hostile
foreign governments.

The price at the U.S. pump is rising because the
price the big oil companies charge ExxonMobil and
the other small American companies for crude oil is going
up as the value of the American dollar goes down.

They will eventually bleed this country into printing
even more money and we will go into runway inflation
once again as we did under the Carter Democratic reign.

This is obviously a tough situation for the American
consumer. The irony is that it doesn't have to be
that way. The United States--unlike, say, France-
-actually has vast petroleum reserves. It would be
possible for American oil companies to develop those
reserves, play a far bigger role in international
markets, and deliver gas at the pump to American
consumers at a much lower price, while creating many
thousands of jobs for Americans. This would be infinitely
preferable to shipping endless billions of dollars
to Saudi Arabia, Russia and Venezuela to be used
in propping up their economies.

So, why doesn't it happen? Because the Democrat Party-
-aided, sadly, by a handful of Republicans--deliberately
keeps gas prices high and our domestic oil companies
small by putting most of our reserves off limits
to development.

China is now drilling in the Caribbean, off Cuba but
our own companies are barred by law from developing
large oil fields off the coasts of Florida and
California. Enormous oil-shale deposits in the Rocky
Mountain states could go a long way toward supplying
American consumers' needs, but the Democratic Congress
won't allow those resources to be developed.
ANWR contains vast petroleum reserves, but we don't
know how vast, because Congress, not wanting the
American people to know how badly its policies are
hurting our economy, has made it illegal to explore
and map those reserves, let alone develop them.

In short, all Americans are paying a terrible price
for the Democratic Party's perverse energy policies.

I own some small interests in tiny, 4 barrel-per-day
oil wells in Wyoming. We have 14 agencies that have
iron-handed jurisdiction over us.

If we drop any oil on the ground when the refinery
truck comes to pick up oil from our holding tanks,
we are fined.

Yet down the road the state will spray thousands of
gallons of used oil on a dirt road to control dirt.
When it rains that oil runs into rivers and creeks.
Yet a cup of oil on the ground at our wellhead is
a $50,000 EPA fine plus additional fines from state
regulating agencies. They treat oil as if it were
plutonium that has the potential to leak into the
environment.

We are fined if our dirt burms are not high enough
around a holding tank, yet the truck that picks up
our oil runs down the road at 60 mph with no burm
around it.

People wonder why there is no more exploration in
this country. It's because of the regulators;
people who have lived their whole lives doing nothing
but imposing fines on small operators like us for
doing mostly nothing.

So, America enjoy your $4.00 per gallon gasoline.
Your dollar is now worth 0.62 Euro-Cents.
The lack of American production of GNP, the massive
trade deficit (as labor markets have moved overseas
to fight insanely high union imposed labor costs
in America) and the run away printing of money (backed
by nothing of value here in America) has caused the
dollar to become more worthless on the international
market. And that's where our oil comes from.

It's paid for with dollars that become more worthless
everyday.
If we had just kept par with the Euro we'd be paying
$62 dollars per barrel for oil (42 gallons) or about
$1.50 instead of $2.50 a gallon for crude oil.

What the US government also does not tell you is that
it is the leaseholder and royalty recipient of most
oil production and receives 25% of the gross oil
sales before we pay for electricity to lift the oil,
propane to keep the oil-water separators from freezing
in the winters. We pay a pumper to visit each well
everyday plus we have equipment failures all the time.

We pay for that out of our 75% of gross sales.
The government does not share in any expenses to
run any production well.

So, if the Big Oil Companies are making record profits,
then so is the federal government from it's 25% tax
on every molecule of oil sold to a refinery in this
country.

Why isn't the government on the stand for "Record" profits?

What you don't see is this 25% of the sales price
of crude oil being siphoned away by the government.
That money plus the road taxes, state taxes, etc.
amounts to over $1 per gallon of gasoline you are
buying while the governments only admit to about
50 cents per gallon.

To all you Democrats, when you go vote for your candidate,
a blazing liberal like Barrack Hussein Obama or
Hillary Clinton, just keep in mind that their liberal
spending habits will further decrease the value of
the American dollar on the world market and your
gasoline costs will hike even higher. As they introduce
more give-away programs, raise taxes on everyone
to pay people not to produce or work, your dollar
will continue to dwindle on the world market and you
will be paying $10.00 per gallon at the next election.

Cheap hydrocarbon fuel is all over. Enjoy!

Enjoy the fruits of your decision to elect these
folks when you are there in that voting booth and
you stab your pin through a Democrat's name.

As well, you should be concerned about many things if you face a power loss situation. Basicly the weather will play a major role in concerns, if your not going to freeze to death, thats good! One less concern to contend with at the moment. If you use a cordless phone in your home, remember that the phone is on battery power only. There is no electic power to the phone cradle for recharging. A hard wired phone placed some where in the home will eliminate that concern.

People die every day because of power loss, maybe not in your neighborhood, or local area, but some where. The loss of power to traffic signals lights, lead to accidents, and lots of people going nowhere fast because of traffic delays. Power loss through major electric supply grids, leading to large populations of people. Have been known to last from minutes to hours, and many times days, with the severe case even weeks.

Don't laugh, many people have been through such times. Every year major cities like New York, Chicago, Los Angels have large scale brown outs and blackouts because of power consumption due to air-conditioning demands. The demand for more electic energy is growing daily as our population continues to grow daily. Where will all the new energy come from to fill our needs?

As of last count there are 408 nuclear power plants on this planet, thats another whole issue that will be mentioned later. With all the available power resources that we use every day, why relie on an external source? With the cost of energy going through the roof, oil, gas, electric, water, all these services cost more and more every year. Would you like to stop the consumer cycle of use and pay, use and pay, forever?

The Saudis are boycotting American goods! We should return the favor.

An interesting thought is to boycott their GAS.

Every time you fill up the car, you can avoid
putting more money into the coffers of Saudi Arabia
Just buy from gas companies that don't import their oil from the Saudis.

Nothing is more frustrating than the feeling that
every time I fill-up the tank, I am sending my money
to people who are trying to kill me, my family, and my friends.

It might be interesting for you to know which oil
companies are the best to buy gas from and which
major companies import Middle Eastern oil.

These companies import Middle Eastern oil:

Shell..............205,742,000 barrels
Chevron/Texaco.....144,332,000 barrels
Exxon /Mobil.......130,082,000 barrels
Marathon/Speedway..117,740,000 barrels

from a Dictator who hates Americans.
